Warehouse Operative

 

 

 

 

Working in our warehouse department your primary role will be the pick, pack and wrap of a varied number of items for our customers requirement, as well as picking items you will also be responsible for stock replenishment, goods in and goods out. From time to time you may be required to aid with the delivery of items or cover driver holiday periods. In quiet periods you may be asked to work in other areas throughout the factory.

 

You will be working to tight deadlines following pick lists, you will also need to be computer literate to use our computers and software to create shipping labels and other job requirements.

 

Experience in warehousing and using a forklift truck would be of benefit but full training will be given.

 

You will be able to work as part of a team and on your own from time to time, the job dictates flexibility and can be very physically demanding.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Locate, pick, pack and wrap items working to pick lists.

  2. Stock replenishment, the transfer and put away of stock in designated areas.

  3. Delivery driver cover as well as aiding in deliveries as and when required. A company vehicle would be supplied, and you would need a full clean driving licence.

  4. Receipt goods in.

  5. Make ready items for despatch and aid in loading vans.

  6. Use of the forklift trucks internal and external.

  7. Maintaining a clean work area internally and externally in the rear yard.

  8. Operation and maintenance of any machinery in your department.

  9. To make sure the items are picked correctly to the pick lists.

  10. To make sure the best possible quality is achieved in all tasks carried out.

  11. To maintain and adhere to the company process and procedures and suggest improvements where required.

  12. To communicate effectively.

  13. To suggest and implement improvements where required.

  14. To log and promote the logging of company non-conformances.

  15. To train and aid in training where required.

  16. To work as part of a team.

  17. You may be required to work in other areas from time to time and as dictated by your line Manager / Supervisor.

 

Department: Warehouse

Hours of work: 7.30am until 4.00pm with 30 minutes lunch, 5 days a week, overtime may be available where necessary.
