LG Davis acquires local firm to add to our portfolio

A one stop shop for all office branding and stationery needs, we are well known for our long standing connections with NHS Trusts and public sector organisations due to our bespoke stock and distribution service, allowing multi-site companies to benefit from the savings of large print runs while storing excess stock to be shipped as and when required.
Working with a number of international and UK wide brands, we are now looking to grow our commercial work here in the Midlands and the merger with Positive Print, which has been run by husband and wife duo David and Alison Heath for the past eight years, allows us to expand our reach in the industry.
It also follows a number of other acquisitions over the last few years – including Birmingham based Sabell and Co last year which has meant we are now one of only a handful of printers in the country able to offer custom designed manilla folders and filing solutions.
Talking about the latest acquisition Liz Smith, Managing Director at LG Davis, said it was part of a commitment to continue to drive LG Davis to the forefront of Midlands printing.
She said: “LG Davis is committed to delivering first class printing and office solutions across the Midlands and beyond. Our recent growth and series of acquisitions has allowed the company to invest in extra machinery to increase capacity and enhance our inhouse services.
“We are delighted that we have been able to work with Positive Print to merge our two businesses. I have known Dave and Alison personally for many years and our companies have always shared the same ethos – to put our customer first – so the acquisition is a great opportunity to enhance the offer here in the Midlands.”
This latest acquisition is the seventh merger in the last 6 years, bringing in extra capacity and resources for the print and office specialists.
“Our aim is to be the Midlands printer of choice, offering everything you could need to market and run your business,” added Liz.
“We pride ourselves on going the extra mile and sourcing solutions to even the most complicated of issues.”
Positive Print was based in Kings Norton and had been run by husband and wife duo David and Alison Heath for the last 8 years. The printing firm, which specialised in supporting commercial Midlands based businesses, has brought not only its expertise with its staff transferring over, but also additional wide format equipment increasing the inhouse capacity at LG Davis.
Former owner Alison Heath, who will continue to work alongside LG Davis to support the transition going forward, said: “We are absolutely delighted to now be part of LG Davis. It is a business we have known and admired for many years. We are excited about this new era and confident the move will be beneficial to not only existing Positive Print customers but also enhancing LG Davis too.”
